New Nexus doneert 2100 euro voor aanleggen LAN netwerk
Het IT-bedrijf New Nexus uit Tynaarlo heeft 2100 euro gedoneerd voor het aanleggen van een LAN netwerk in het Kabanga Hospital.
De kwaliteitsnorm met betrekking tot patient data en dossiervorming neemt toe in Tanzania. In 2015 zijn drie personeelsleden van de administratie op data-management training geweest. Nu is de tijd rijp om de administratie verder te professionaliseren. De wens is om een LAN netwerk aan te leggen door het gehele ziekenhuis en met name de twee kantoren op het terrein te koppelen. Het gaat om het kantoor in het polikliniek gebouw en de centrale administratie aan de achterzijde van het ziekenhuis complex.
Tot voor kort werd er decennia lang gewerkt met papieren dossiers. De Tanzaniaanse regering stelt steeds meer eisen aan patiëntendossiers en er is noodzaak om dit digitaal vast te gaan leggen in een ziekenhuis-informatie-systeem. Dit systeem draait inmiddels enkele maanden op een aantal computers en dit kan met een LAN netwerk gekoppeld worden.
Binnenkort zal gestart worden met de aanleg van het netwerk. Een ICT bedrijf uit Arusha zal de ICT apparatuur (kabels, switches, accespoints e.d.) komen installeren.

The IT company New Nexus from Tynaarlo, The Netherlands, donated 2100 euros for the construction of a LAN network in the Kabanga Hospital.
The quality standard of patient data and file formation is increasing in Tanzania. In 2015, three staff members of the administration were on data management training. Now the time is ripe to further professionalize the administration. The desire is to establish a LAN network by linking the entire hospital and in particular the two offices on the hospital site. It concerns the office in the outpatient clinic and the central administration at the back of the hospital complex.
Until recently, they have worked with paper files for decades. The Tanzanian government is increasingly demanding patient records and there is a need to record this digitally in a hospital information system. This system has been running on a number of computers for several months now and this can be linked to a LAN network.
The construction of the network will soon start. An ICT company from Arusha will be installing the ICT equipment (cables, switches, access points etc.).
